Arcus AS is Norway's largest wholesaler of wine and liquor. When moving their headquarters Arcus wanted a permanent brand experience for their clients and visitors.
The challenge was to create an experience that was inclusive to their many of their well-known products with a strong brand of their own. This includes Linie Aquavit, Vikingfjord Vodka and Braastad. Even tough we created individual brand spaces and tailored brand experiences - we needed to create an overall visual language.
The delivery consisted of the reseption area, wine tasting arena, a Viking Fjord bar and the Aquavit bar. Vi also delivered a Aquavit tasting tour that brings the visitor on a journey through the destillery where they can experience the whole process of the making of aquavit.
The concept takes root in the common denominator of all their products - "From solid to liquid".

Linie Aquavite Bottle Screen
Linie Aquavite is Arcus' flagship brand. In the reception area - a fully functional screen built of 1125 Linie Aquavite bottles. Linie bottle has the iconic compass at the bottom som there is no mistaking the brand. Each bottle was masket except the bottom to avoid light emitting to the sides. 1125 pixles are extremeliy low on resolution. With the circular pixel pattern - we experimented with different visual expressions and animations. The result was fluid and abstract but with enough information for the eye to understand.
